You can skip rope at your home every time you want and the cost of equipment is minimal. Skipping a rope is an effective exercise used for cardio activities, warm-ups, and stamina training in sports.

If you are the beginner, you need to ease into it. If you are not fit, when you first start skipping your heart rate can raise too high and too fast. Just like with any exercise, you can vary your rope speed of your jump rope workout. One of the biggest mistakes people make is trying to jump as high as they can on every jump. This will make you hurt. So, don’t jump too high off the ground.
At the beginning you feel as though you have a pretty good handle on the basic two-feet-at-a-time style, but when you are improved you can try some fancy footwork for more funny such as "boxing step”, "double unders", “half twist”, “full twist” And many more. You can cross your arms as your swing the skip rope or you can swing the rope several times as you only make one jump.
Start skipping 3 to 5 minutes a day. Afterwards, jump 10 to 15 minutes every day. When you're ready for the full works, you can skip 15 to 20 minutes per session, 3-4 times a week. The use of music is a powerful motivator to propel you to jump "more".
